Botswana country located in the central part of southern Africa. Most of the area adjacent to a vast desert. Neighboring countries are: Namibia in the north and west, South Africa; Zimbabwe in the northeast. Its area is still quite large and ranks 45th in the world, comparable to the vast island of Sumatra plus Bangka Island, Indonesia. What is interesting about Botswana is 51% of its workforce are women. Income per capita is on the order-10, but this country has a record as the country with the highest income per capita growth rate in the 70's. This country has the original name of "Republic of Botswana". Capital is Gaborone. The language used is English country (official), Setwana and Shona. This country's national anthem is "Fatshe La Rona". The currency of this country is PULA . The big day this country falls on 30 September 1966 (Independence Day). This country never colonized by the British. Founding fathers of this country was Sir Seretse Khama.
